Cricut Flowers

Here is a layout that I worked on last night. I was scrapping with my daughter April. One of my favorite things to do, scrapping with my daughters!I made the flowers on this page with my Cricut. I made the curls by lightly misting the paper with water then curling the petals with a toothpick. I did the same for the border, I just cut slits down the length of the paper. The cute little peeps in the picture are my grand kids Kylie and Steven. The photo was taken by my husband.

Friday Highlight: Handmade Prima Lollipop Flowers

I think Youtube is having some issues. I have been trying all day to load the friday highlight. So I hope this one works....

These flowers would be great to add to any scrapbook page or card.

Friday Highlight: Card with Wood Fence Technique

I love this video with Stampfest. It's kinda funny how her paper slides around. Here is a tip for you if you make this. Put a little adhesive on the back to hold the paper in place. This is a really great technique.

Tyler is home

Tyler come home today after being in the hospital for almost two weeks. Hopefully he will be off the oxygen, but there might be times when he will need it, like when he gets his diapers changed. Apparently he hates to have them changed and cries. When he cries he turns blue (just an example). His new nickname is Blueberry. I read that on another blog about HLHS and they called their baby Blueberry, I thought that was cute so it stuck on me.

Recipe Book

DeeAnn who host our crafting group, purchased these small notebooks at the dollar store for us to use for our Recipe Books (she is so sweet). We took them home and dressed them up. I got the outside done, now I need to work on the inside. But with work and watching my three grand kids for awhile has slowed me down a bit. I just wanted to share what I am working on since I haven't posted in awhile and last Friday I couldn't get YouTube to add a Friday Highlight, so here you go Ü

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter this year. We had 3 of our grand kids staying with us this Easter. Jamie sent 3 of her kids down with Karen (her mother in-law) While she spends Easter in the hospital with little Tyler. They also celebrated Brandon's birthday at the hospital. Jamie has pictures on her blog about that. You can get there from "Places I visit". Anyways, I just wanted to share some pictures of the kids. they are so cute. I love having them here!

Two steps forward, one step back

Tyler is back in the hospital again. He is having some kind of trouble with his intestines. He has some kind of bleeding going on and it lowered his blood count. This poor little man has gone through so much. It just breaks my heart. We were able to drive Up to Utah this last weekend. We wanted Kelsey to meet her new little nephew and we wanted to hold him. We had a nice visit. Jon and Jamie had decided since we were there and Jon's parent's were there, to bless him. So they had him blessed in a Room at the church building. It was a beautiful blessing that his father, Jon gave him.

Saying goodbye was the hardest. As we were driving home, we got a call that they were on the way to the emergency room. So, for right now they can't give him any food orally. They have to rest his intestines so they can heal. Once again I ask for lot's of prayers for Tyler. He is so sweet!

Birthday Card

It was my beautiful daughter's birthday last weekend. I had to make April a card because she is so special to me Ü I got the inspiration to make this card from Kristina Werner's blog. So, here it is.

Quick and Easy Easter Treats

Since I have 10 grand kids, I have to make easy treats for them. So this Easter I made some Easter Bunny bags of chocolates. Very simply, just stamp your image, color, cut with scallop scissors, attach to pattern paper, punch pattern paper with a Fiskra's scallop punch. I used bookmark bags from SU to put the chocolates in and that's it!
