Cuttlebug Butterfly Card

I tried something different with my cuttlebug on this card. On the top part of the card I layered the purple and the green strip together and then I stamped the Birthday wishes and then I ran that through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. It actually looks pretty neat and it looks like it's part of the paper. I layered the embossed part onto a plain purple cardstock and then layered that onto a distressed edge green cardstock and then I layered that on top of another embossed cardstock which then I attached to the card. On the butterfly I used Tim Holtz Alcohol inks and blended them together. I then used the Cuttlebug die cut butterfly and then embossed that as well. I added three purple brads to the bottom of the card. The stamp is from Inkadinkado.

Best Wishes Card

I always find male cards the hardest to make. It's so much easier to use flowers and pretty embellishments on cards. So here is my male card.
Supplies:
Studio G stamp-Best Wishes
Ribbon
Metal snap
pattern paper
Blue ink
black ink
Foam dimension tape

I ink the edges of all the paper, then added piercing around the square and the circle.

Round Scalloped Card

I made this card using the Nestibilities for the round scallops. These are great die cuts. I added pierced holes on the scalloped part. I used a SU clear button for the center. I glued pattern paper under the button to match the pattern paper under the scallops. I used the dew drops for more dimension. I used the fiskars scallop punch for the edge of the pattern paper.

Decoupage Card

This card takes just a little time to make. I gathered up 4 different pattern papers to rip into small pieces. I used decoupage to glue to the cardstock. After I laid my layers down I put two coats of decoupage, letting it dry in between coats. When fully dry I ran this through the cuttelbug with an embossing folder. I then attached the scalloped edges and then attached to the card. I used my Nestabilities for the scalloped circles and pierced holes in the scallops. The stamp is from Hero Arts and it is from the clear stamp set. I used colored pencils. The decoupage sure gives this a nice smooth glossy texture.

Baby Tin Book

This is the Front of the Tin

Up close

Tin Open with pages tucked inside

Fully open

Fully open other side

I made this Baby Tin Book for a friend of mine who is having a baby girl. The words Angle and Girl are wood letters, I inked some of the edges but not all. I used the SU journal stamp to add journaling to the pages. On the front cover I used the little skittles for dimension. Also on the front cover I used a scallop punch for borders. Hand cut the flowers from the pattern paper. I used a flower punch for the yellow flowers. I got the tin at Target, they had them on Clarence and it was originally a tic tac toe game. I used double stick tape to attach the paper and chip board pages to the tin. Now all she has to do is add the pictures of her new baby Ü

Crock Card

I just love the embossing folders that they have for the Cuttlebug, and there are lots more on my wish list Ü I used the crocodile stamp from Hero Arts clear stamps. This is a fun set. Great for kids cards. The Photo Anchors are from Joann's.

A Brother A Hero

This is my brother Vince who is retiring from the Fire Department. He was Chief at his station at Creech AFB in Nevada. My brother is a wonderful man who saved lives and rescued people in extremely dangerous situations. He has been a fireman for over 33 years.

He is a Hero!!

Cupcake Card

Vacation is over and now back to business Ü
I made this card using Inkadinkado clear stamps. I distressed the edges and I used a photo hanger for the ribbon. The top part of the cupcake is shinny because I used Diamond Glaze. I used lots of layers for this card.
It's good to be home, but I do miss my family in Utah!

Tag, I'm it...

OK...here I go. Maybe you will learn a few things about me.

1. I was in a major earthquake when I was 10. It was the 1971 earthquake in Sylmar. It was one of the most frightening things I've experienced.

2. I have a secret that I can't tell yet Ü

3. I've always wanted to work as a labor/delivery nurse.

4. I wanted to have at least one more child. I have five now.

5. I don't like any kind of sea food.

6. I don't have any musical talent.

7. I love to learn ways on how to save money. Even though I love to spend it Ü

I don't know how to link people yet. So I will just name them.

Visit with my brother

I just got back from Las Vegas. My daughter and her kids were meeting her husband in Vegas. This is the half way point were we meet. They are from Utah and I am from California. We normally meet in St. George but we decided to visit my Mom and brother in Vegas.

While we were visiting at my brothers house we just realized how much my Granddaughter Kylie looks like my brother Vince. It was just to funny. I had to pull up some old pictures that I found at my moms house (I took a picture of it so it's not that clear) and man does she ever look like her great Uncle! Here is the proof Ü

Back from Vacation

We just got back from vacation. We spent 9 wonderful days in Utah. This is one beautiful place to explore. We went to Bridal Veil Falls and spent some time in the water which was very cold. You can see us at the bottom of the falls if you look real hard. I will be posting some more pictures. But for now I will be busy with my daughter and her four kids who came for a visit.
