Tyler's in Surgery

We are at the hospital waiting for Tyler to get done with his surgery. The OR nurse just came in to give a report. They had just opened his chest, they are preparing him to go on the heart/lung bypass machine. They will be connecting the superior Vena cava. This comes from the neck and connects to his pulmonary arteries. This will help him not look so blue. He was looking really blue this morning due to the fact he was growing out of the shunt. Recovery will be hard as you can imagine. They say he will have headaches due to the new blood flow. I will put a new update tonight when I get home.
